Jewelry Care
Caring for your pieces
Gold and sterling silver are made to last for generations. A little care keeps them looking their best.
Everyday care
- Remove rings, pendants and pins before swimming, cleaning, gardening or heavy work.
- Put jewelry on after lotions, perfume and hairspray.
- Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or lined box so pieces don't scratch one another.
Cleaning
- Gold: warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Rinse and pat dry.
- Sterling silver: silver naturally darkens over time. A silver polishing cloth brings back the shine. Keep silver in a closed bag to slow tarnishing.
Permanent jewelry
- You can shower and swim in it. Rinse with fresh water after chlorine or salt water.
- Clean gently with mild soap and water.
- If it ever needs to come off, it can be snipped at the connecting link. Contact us about having it re-welded.
